Rooibos (pronounced Roy-boss) is an herb from South Africa; it is a member of the plant family Fabaceae.  The leaves undergo a process of oxidation similar to black tea which gives it its reddish-brown color. The name Rooibos means ‘red bush’. 

Not only is Rooibos a great caffeine-free alternative to black tea, it contains antioxidants which help eliminate free radicals in the body!
